About this book
Adhuri Dua (ادھوری دعا) is an Urdu novel by Raz e Ain, written when she was 23 and her first book. It begins with a young girl, Zara, who finds an old diary hidden under a mattress, headed "Dua's diary". Its pages tell the story of Dua, the daughter of Khalil Ahmad, and a love, a loss and a prayer that were never completed.
Raz e Ain describes the book as an offering to every silent love that could not be completed but never truly ended: "secrets hidden in words, tears that flow from the pen." Told in simple, emotional Urdu, it follows a heart that will not forget and the quiet damage that betrayal leaves behind, and it closes with a final message addressed to its readers.
About the author
Raz e Ain picked up the pen at 23 and gave her first book to the world. In her own words, Raz e Ain is not a name but a feeling: the one hidden in every broken heart, the secret that eyes cannot say.
